Ryan's Academy — Privacy
App Store privacy label: Data Not Linked to You — only the anonymous feedback a grown-up chooses to send
Ryan's Academy games are made for children, and they collect nothing about the child. There are no accounts, no ads, no in-app purchases, no analytics and no tracking, and the games play fully offline. A child's first name, avatar, progress and stickers are saved only on the device. The one thing that can ever leave the app is a feedback message a grown-up chooses to write, from behind the grown-up check, and it is never linked to a person.
The specifics
- No account, no sign-in and no LMKdev ID: nothing in the games identifies a child or a family
- The player's first name and emoji avatar, levels, stars, mastered skills and stickers are stored only on this device (in the app's own storage, with iCloud sync off). Delete a player in For grown-ups and their progress and stickers are deleted with them; delete the app and everything goes
- Instructions are read aloud by the voice built into the device. Nothing is recorded: the games never use the microphone, camera, location, photos, contacts or notifications
- No ads, no in-app purchases, no Game Center, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and no third-party code that sends data. The privacy manifest declares no tracking and no tracking domains
- Performance measurement is switched off for kids apps in our engine, so no usage or performance data is uploaded
- Feedback is for grown-ups only: “Send feedback” sits behind the grown-up check in For grown-ups, and shaking the device opens the same form, which asks its own grown-up maths question first
- A feedback message carries the type and the words the grown-up typed, the app name and version, device model, iOS version, language setting, and a random ID made on first use (not the advertising ID, not shared with other apps). It never carries a child's name, avatar, age or progress
- Feedback is anonymous by rule: no name, no email, no account and no reply option. Our server marks these three games as kids apps and refuses to attach a person to their feedback even if asked
- A screenshot is attached only when the grown-up shakes the device; it is shown first and can be removed before sending. It goes to a private store only LMKdev staff can read, is used only to understand the feedback, and is deleted once we've processed it. The games never open the photo library
- Feedback is read by a person at LMKdev, never sold, never shared, never used for advertising. If our server can't be reached, the form offers to send it by email from the grown-up's own Mail app instead
- Links out of the app (this privacy policy and the terms) also sit behind the grown-up check
Children
Ryan's Academy is made for children, so it has no accounts, no ads, no tracking and no purchases, and anything that leaves the app sits behind a grown-up check. It does not collect personal information from children.
Changes
If a future version of Ryan's Academy ever collects anything, this page changes before that version ships, and the App Store privacy label changes with it. A privacy page that lags the app is a false statement, not a stale one.
