Fortune Cookie — Privacy
App Store privacy label: Data Not Collected
Fortune Cookie has no account, no server and no analytics. It does not know who you are, and there is nowhere for it to send anything if it did. Every fortune ships inside the app, so it works the same in airplane mode as it does on wifi.
The specifics
- No data leaves your device — the app makes no network requests at all
- No account, no sign-in, no email address, no identifiers
- No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no third-party SDKs
- The only thing stored is which fortunes you've already seen, kept on your phone so they don't repeat, and deleted with the app
- Nothing is tracked across apps or websites — the privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected data types
Children
Fortune Cookie is not directed to children under 13, and because it collects no personal information it does not knowingly collect theirs either.
Changes
If a future version of Fortune Cookie ever collects anything, this page changes before that version ships, and the App Store privacy label changes with it. A privacy page that lags the app is a false statement, not a stale one.
