Truno — Privacy
App Store privacy label: Data Linked to You only if you sign in, for the optional backup: email address
Truno keeps everything on your phone: your compass, the people you add, and your notes. Nothing about a person or a note leaves the phone unless you tap to send it. The optional backup and the two-player game are both end-to-end encrypted, so the server only stores scrambled data it can't read.
The specifics
- People and notes are stored on your device; no analytics, ads, crash-reporting SDKs or tracking
- The optional backup is encrypted on the phone (AES-256-GCM); the key stays in your iCloud Keychain and is never uploaded
- In the game, the server stores only encrypted answers; the key travels in the link fragment, which browsers never send to a server
- Either player can delete the game answers; open invites expire after 30 days
Children
Truno is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If a future version of Truno ever collects anything, this page changes before that version ships, and the App Store privacy label changes with it. A privacy page that lags the app is a false statement, not a stale one.
