LMKlove — Help & FAQ
❤️ In public beta (TestFlight) · iPhone · iPad · Apple Watch · Widgets · Free, never forced ads
What it is
LMKlove is one heart on one screen. Tap it and an anonymous heartbeat goes out into the world. Turn on receiving, and sometimes one finds you back: "Someone out there is thinking about you." No feed, no profile, no streak to keep.
How to get started
- Join the open beta through the public TestFlight link and install LMKlove on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap the big heart to send an anonymous heartbeat, or press and hold to charge a bigger one.
- Switch on "Receive heartbeats from out there" under the heart and allow notifications, so a heart can find you too.
- Open the More menu (the ••• button) and choose "Friends — heart codes" to share your code or scan a friend's.
- Tap the sliders button ("Adjust the feel") to change the heartbeat feel and turn sound on or off.
Questions
Who sees my heartbeat when I tap the heart?
Nobody sees who sent it. Tapping the heart only adds one to a shared world count. No name, profile or device info goes with it.
How do I send a heart to a friend?
Open the More menu, pick "Friends — heart codes", then scan their code or type it in and tap Add. Tap their name to send. Each time, you choose to send anonymously or with your name.
Where can I see the hearts I sent and received?
Open the More menu and tap "Your hearts". You can also open "Your constellation", where every star is a heart you sent. Only you can see that sky.
Why would I sign in?
Signing in is optional, and your hearts stay anonymous either way. It saves one thing, your heart code, so friends who have it can still reach you if you lose your phone. Your friends list stays on your phone.
Is LMKlove free?
Yes. LMKlove: Free, never forced ads. LMKdev apps have no paywall on the core of the app and never show forced ads (no banners, no pop-up ads). Optional tips, and in some apps optional videos you choose to watch, help pay for the next app.
Are the LMKlove widgets free?
Yes. Widgets are always free in every LMKdev app — never behind a tip, an ad or a sign-in. Long-press your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for the app.
What does LMKlove do with my data?
Tapping the world sends a number and nothing else. Sending a heart to a specific friend necessarily sends their code, so it can reach them — and your name only if you chose not to send anonymously. LMKlove has no feed, no profile, and no advertising, and it has never shared anything with anyone. App Store privacy label: Data Not Linked to You — except for what you choose to send. Do I need an account?
No. Signing in with an LMKdev ID is optional — it backs up and syncs your progress across devices. The app works fully without it.
How do I suggest a feature or a new app?
Let Me Know — that's what LMK stands for. Email hello@lmkdev.com with your idea for LMKlove (or for a whole new app); a person reads every one. Apps by the people, for the people: if your idea ships, you can choose to be credited by name.
Troubleshooting
- The receive switch keeps turning itself off. LMKlove needs permission to show notifications. Allow notifications for LMKlove in your iPhone Settings, then turn "Receive heartbeats from out there" back on.
- I tapped the heart with no signal. Nothing is lost. The app keeps your hearts on your phone and sends them the next time you tap, open the app, or relaunch it with a connection.
- My friend didn't get the heart I sent. It arrives once your friend is on the latest version of LMKlove and has receiving turned on. Ask them to update and switch on "Receive heartbeats from out there".
- The app says I have two heart codes after signing in. Your phone and your account each have a code saved. The app lets you keep one. Pick the code your friends already have.
