Stocked — Help & FAQ
🥕 In public beta (TestFlight) · iPhone · Widgets · Free, never forced ads — tips welcome
What it is
Stocked is your kitchen's brain. Tell it what you're craving, or let it get to know your kitchen, and it writes a recipe around what you already have, then makes a grocery list of only what's missing. When it's time to cook, Cook Mode walks you through it step by step, right on the Lock Screen.
How to get started
- Stocked is in beta on TestFlight: install it on your iPhone from the public TestFlight link on this page, then open it.
- In the Pantry tab, tap "Scan kitchen" to photograph your shelves, scan a barcode, or just type what you have.
- In the Tonight tab, type a craving (like "something spicy, 20 minutes") or tap a mood such as Comfort food or Fast tonight. Or swipe through the deck: right to cook, left for not tonight.
- Open a recipe and tap "Add what's missing". Only what you don't already have goes on your grocery list (the cart at the top of Tonight).
- When you're ready, tap "Start Cook Mode" and follow one step at a time. Tap Next in the app or on your Lock Screen.
Questions
Who writes the recipes?
On iPhones with Apple Intelligence turned on, recipes are written right on your phone, for free, and nothing leaves it. On other iPhones, Stocked asks our kitchen server instead. The 30 original recipes in the Cookbook always work.
What happens to the photos of my fridge?
Photos are processed and then thrown away right after. They're never stored, and they're never backed up.
Do I need an account?
No. Your pantry lives on your phone. If you'd like, Settings › "Back up with LMKdev ID" keeps a copy of your kitchen, saved recipes and journal in case you ever lose your phone. Without it, nothing leaves your phone.
How do I see what a Cookbook recipe needs?
Open any recipe in the Cookbook and tap "What am I missing?". Stocked checks it against your pantry and lists what you don't have.
Is Stocked free?
Yes. Stocked: Free, never forced ads — tips welcome. LMKdev apps have no paywall on the core of the app and never show forced ads (no banners, no pop-up ads). Optional tips, and in some apps optional videos you choose to watch, help pay for the next app.
Are the Stocked widgets free?
Yes. Widgets are always free in every LMKdev app — never behind a tip, an ad or a sign-in. Long-press your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for the app.
What does Stocked do with my data?
Stocked's privacy policy is at https://lmkdev.com/privacy.
Do I need an account?
No. Signing in with an LMKdev ID is optional — it backs up and syncs your progress across devices. The app works fully without it.
How do I suggest a feature or a new app?
Let Me Know — that's what LMK stands for. Email hello@lmkdev.com with your idea for Stocked (or for a whole new app); a person reads every one. Apps by the people, for the people: if your idea ships, you can choose to be credited by name.
Troubleshooting
- It says "Turn on Apple Intelligence in Settings" or "still getting ready". Turn on Apple Intelligence in your iPhone's Settings, or give it a little while to finish setting up. In the meantime, the Cookbook still works.
- It says "The kitchen's taking a break" or "Kitchen's busy". Try again in a moment. Your saved recipes keep working while you wait.
- It says a recipe "didn't pass our kitchen rules". Ask again, and Stocked will cook up something different.
- LMKdev ID sign-in says there's no account under that email. Use the email on your LMKdev ID. New accounts are made at id.lmkdev.com. If it says too many attempts, wait about an hour and try again.
Still stuck? Email support@lmkdev.com and say which app and device — a person reads every one. More on the Stocked support page.
