Ryan's Academy — Help & FAQ

🎓 In public beta (TestFlight) · iPhone · iPad · Free — no ads, no purchases, no accounts

What it is

Ryan's Academy is a set of small learning games for kids aged about 4 to 10. Each game teaches one subject by letting kids play with it: Numberlings for math, Tumblings for physics and Fizzlings for chemistry. They are free, with no ads, no purchases, no accounts and no tracking.

How to get started

  1. Sign up for the open beta on the Ryan's Academy page on lmkdev.com, pick the games you want, and install them with Apple's TestFlight app on your child's iPhone or iPad.
  2. Open a game and tap Start when Ollie asks "Who's playing?", then type your child's first name or a nickname, pick a buddy, and choose an age band (4–6, 7–8 or 9–10).
  3. Tap "Let's go!" to reach the map, then tap the big bubble to start the first level; stars on the map show how each level went.
  4. Tap "My stickers" on the map to see the stickers your child has earned.
  5. Grown-ups: tap the people icon at the top right ("For grown-ups") and answer the quick sum to see progress and settings.

Questions

Can more than one child play on the same device?

Yes. Each game holds up to six players, and each one has their own name, buddy and progress. Tap the name at the top left of the map to switch players.

Why does the grown-ups area ask a math question?

It is a grown-up check, so children don't wander into settings or out of the app by accident. Tap the right answer to the sum to get in.

What can I see in the grown-ups area?

Your child's progress (levels with stars, skills mastered and what they are practising), a switch to read instructions aloud, the list of players, a way to send us feedback, and links to the privacy policy and terms.

What is the age setting used for?

Only to pick the right starting level. It stays on the device.

Are the three games one app?

No. Numberlings, Tumblings and Fizzlings are separate apps that share the same look and the same grown-ups area, so you install each one you want.

Is Ryan's Academy free?

Yes. Ryan's Academy: Free — no ads, no purchases, no accounts. LMKdev apps have no paywall on the core of the app and never show forced ads (no banners, no pop-up ads). It is a kids app, so there are no ads and nothing to buy.

What does Ryan's Academy do with my data?

Ryan's Academy games are made for children, and they collect nothing about the child. There are no accounts, no ads, no in-app purchases, no analytics and no tracking, and the games play fully offline. A child's first name, avatar, progress and stickers are saved only on the device. The one thing that can ever leave the app is a feedback message a grown-up chooses to write, from behind the grown-up check, and it is never linked to a person.
